WHO AM I?

What's good! I'm Frank and I went to college at George Mason University. My area of study was Media Production and Criticism. I've been out of school for almost 2 years and have been itching to write. My favorite thing to write about is the media that I consume. Join me as I analyze said media. The initial idea was for this site to be music centric, but I love movies and comic books too. Variety is the spice of life, right? Here's hoping you dig my insight. I aim to give the world a peek at my interests and opinions, and my hope is that you value my take on them and that I may even be able to introduce you to something new. Thanks for reading!

25 Ta Life-Hunting Season

25 Ta Life is back. No, don't worry you don't have to hear "RE-ah ERREAH-mumble mumble" anymore. Rick Ta Life is no longer a part of the group. They have recruited Fury of Five Frontman Stikman to handle the microphone.

Now I'm not trying to go in-depth on this one, 25 Ta Life has been back since Summer 2017 when they performed at This Is Hardcore.  I was there and it was probably my favorite set of the weekend. The group of dudes that performed that set has continued playing shows since and recently put up some new music.

The new EP consists of 3 brand new songs and is titled Hunting Season. This lineup consists of original guitarist Fred Mesk and is filled out with other longtime 25 Ta Life members. The record was recorded by Len Carmichael at Landmine Studios in New Jersey.

This record sounds like it could have come out right after Keepin' It Real. The music is classic 25 Ta Life and Stikman nailed the vocals. The vocal rhythms, style, and even the lyrics will remind the listener of classic 25 Ta Life...

..The main difference in the vocals is the fact that you can actually understand Stikman.

Mesk brought his signature super-hard, metal riffs back to the table and drummer, Seth Meyer (no not the friggin TV host) brings the classic NYHC groove into the equation along with the ferocity of classic hardcore. The title track opens with a riff that is in the vein of classic songs like Turning Point or Loyal ta the Grave.

25 Ta Life is back and better than ever.
